Champion's Forever Home

HIV/AIDS is a pandemic virus with devastating consequences and catastrophic effects in the world. Globally, millions are affected with this tragic disease, and the number of those infected in South Africa is astounding.

Children are often the forgotten victims of HIV/AIDS. The Champions Forever Home, located in Johannesburg, South Africa, is a place where children find loving care, compassion, and receive the appropriate medical treatment as needed.  The Forever Homes operate with the highest of standards, and in addition to providing quality health care we also provide a family style atmosphere in a home with house parents, adopted siblings, and a nurturing environment.

In this way, the Forever Homes provide the best hope for these kids to have a stable, secure future. Our commitment to them is to see that their emotional, spiritual and physical needs provided for, and that they have the opportunity to grow up and become all that they dream of.

Meet some of our kids here.
Lily

Lily is four years old, and this little pint sized ball of energy can always be found peeking around a corner, or finding a new adventure and new way of doing things.  She loves the Jungle Gym in the backyard, and walks up the slide instead of using the ladder. She also loves to play dress up and pretend. One can't help but laugh around Lily and her antics.  It's hard to believe that without a Forever Home to go to, this beautiful girl would not have survived.

 Lulu
Lulu is a proud "big sister" to the younger preschoolers in the home, and loves to read, color, and play outside.  She has seen alot of turmoil and upheaval in her six short years, but has a bright future ahead of her.

Nkuli
Nkuli was very ill when she arrived at the Forever Home, and at three years old had not yet learned to walk, talk, or sit up.  She was dependant upon oxygen to breathe, and doctors were pessimistic about her future.  They did not expect her to live.  Today, in just a little over a year and a half, Nkuli is not only walking, she can run, jump and play with the other children. She is learning to talk, dress herself, and is becoming independant.  Nkuli's story is a miracle.

Lucia

Mathabo
Mathabo came to the Forever Home after having suffered extensive burns to her body in a horrific attack.  At 15, she is a naturally gifted speaker, and loves to share her message of forgiveness with others. She loves music and dance.  Although she continues to face more reconstructive surgeries, and other medical treatments, she is optimistic about her future and her life. She is a great help with the her "sisters" and always looks out for their interests before her own.

Rose
Rose is the oldest in our home.  At 17 years of age, she has lost all of her birth family to AIDS, with the exception on one brother.  She loves to cook, and is in a culinary training course as part of her high school program. Her goal is to attend school after graduation to become a culinary chef. Rose has many ambitions, and knowing that she has her Forever Home family to support her gives her the resolve to meet her daily goals.

Sindi
Sindi has been in our home for less than a year.  At 11 years old, she came to us with a very traumatic past, and lots of needs.  Today, Sindi has made a tremendous amount of progress as she has adjusted to living in a safe place, and a home where people love her and care for her.  She is outgoing and loves to be the center of attention, but also has forged deep relationships and bonds with her Forever Home family.

These are some of the children that have come into our care to find a place they can call their own Forever Home. Thanks to generous donors, we are making a difference and rescuing those who once were just part of the forgotten.  There are millions of children who need still need our help. Together, we can accomplish so much more than any one of us can on our own.
