Justice Project and YWAM Team Up to Help Homeless
Monday, January 25, 2010
The
Justice Project
teamed up with a
YWAM
missionary group from Europe to help the homeless in Tacoma on a recent weekend. The missions team from
YWAM
are here in the United States for several months traveling across the United States helping other organizations in their efforts to help the people of their communities.
Justice Project
regularly helps at the
Tacoma Rescue Mission
with its dinner program that feeds both residents of its New Life program, as well as homeless people. No one is turned away for its feeding program. Two meals a day are available, at no cost, for the homeless. On January 24th, those who came for dinner were also provided with entertainment from the
YWAM
group, who performed several skits during the evening. The more than 40 volunteers that evening served food, filled trays, cleaned tables, mopped floors, and extended a helping hand to everyone who came through the doors.
